One of the main tasks of the technology department is to provide support for vessels in terms of operation and technical issues, and to present and implement new ideas for improvements pertaining to the environment and technical operation. The department works in close cooperation with government authorities and industry organizations to ensure that it is always on the cutting edge in terms of new regulations.
Another important part of the department’s efforts is the optimization of purchasing in terms of quality and price, in cooperation with the purchasing department.
The technicians also plan vessel dockings and major repairs and provide assistance relating to any vessel losses and damage that may arise.
