Environment & Safety

Transatlantic’s geographical area of operation primarily comprises the Baltic Sea, North Sea and Arctic waters. The Baltic Sea and North Sea, along with the English Channel, have been designated emission control areas by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which entails stricter requirements on the designs of vessels and their emissions of such substances of sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide.
