The Industrial Shipping business area comprises 34 vessels. The operations focus on contract-based transportation, primarily for Nordic base industries but also for major international players and include several different units. Through its specially adapted RoRo, bulk and container vessels, RoRo Baltic offers one of the most comprehensive sea transport systems in the Baltic Sea. Through its ice-classified vessels and ice expertise, Bulk LoLo is an international niche player in the specialized and attractive small bulk segment. The business area also operates RoRo traffic across the Atlantic, traffic with side-port vessels along the east coast of the US and the Caribbean as well as container-based scheduled traffic between Sweden and the UK.

Customers

With the Baltic Sea as the geographic base, the business area covers various customer segments in Nordic base industries. Customer relations are marked by distinct quality awareness, long-term approach and close cooperation. Large customers include StoraEnso, SCA, Norske Skog, M-Real and SSAB. In the role as full-service operator, Transatlantic continuously develops system solutions with a focus on controlling the entire transport chain.
